How to use the Ultimate Skin Spa System for the most beautiful skin ever

Posted by Vanity Planet on Apr 27, 2016 3:17:30 PM

If we had to sum up our philosophy in one sentence, it would be “Providing our clients with their most gorgeous, luminous skin ever with highly-effective, no-nonsense skincare products.” Among our favorite products is the Ultimate Skin Spa System, which uses three brush heads to deliver the most thorough cleanse that your skin has ever seen (we pinky-promise). True, the Ultimate Skin Spa System is so efficacious that using it with just water will yield spectacular results – but why not aim for your very best skin ever? To get the most out of your Ultimate Skin Spa System and get the most stunning skin ever, you may want to follow some of the following tips:

Use the brushes in the designated order. We are fans of innovation and individuality, but when it comes to skincare, following a routine with guidelines is crucial (trust us, a slew of embarrassing blunders in our youth has proven this time and time again). So while you may be tempted to save time and use just one or two of the brush heads, or use them in a different order, we urge you to first use the Daily Cleansing Brush, then the Exfoliating Brush, and finally, the Silicone Brush.

The Daily Cleansing Brush employs ultra-soft bristles to wipe away superficial accumulations of dead skin, dirt, oil, and skincare residue that lie on the outermost layer of skin and dull your complexion. True, the Daily Cleansing Brush cleanses the skin, but its ultimate function is to remove this superficial layer of contaminants so that the Exfoliating Brush and Silicone Brush can focus on eliminating deeper-set debris. If you use the Cleansing Brush after using the Exfoliating Brush or Silicone Brush, you’ll more or less be wasting your time wiping away nonexistent dirt from freshly-exfoliated skin. Worse yet, you’ll be wasting the prowess of both the Exfoliating Brush and Silicone Brush by having them sort through superficial layers of rubbish instead of focusing on stubbornly-anchored dead skin and dirt.

The Exfoliating Brush is the second step in our system, and meant to remove hardened dead skin cells that clog the pores and dull the complexion. Made of ultra-durable and hygienic bristles, the Exfoliating Brush easily sweeps away dead skin so that the lower layers of healthy, live skin cells can illuminate your face.

The final step in our system, the Silicone Brush, is made of non-abrasive, pliable bristles that tickle and massage the skin while loosening deep-set dead skin that couldn’t be reached by the Exfoliating Brush. The Silicone Brush is ideal for those with dry and sensitive skin, who may find prolonged exposure to an exfoliating brush or scrub to be too abrasive.

Pair the Ultimate Skin Spa System with an exfoliating and cleansing serum. The Ultimate Skin Spa System is designed in such a way that just using it with warm water will make your skin look and feel exponentially more healthy and more beautiful than ever before. But then again, designing an ultra-successful beauty company has taught us that teamwork is key if you want to achieve the best results. Therefore, we suggest you team up a cleansing serum and exfoliating serum with your Ultimate Skin Spa System, so that your topical products can help to loosen dead skin while your ultimate Skin Spa System can sweep it away. We recommend using products that contain salicylic acid or glycolic acid, which are among the best dual cleansing-and-exfoliating ingredients on the market. Not only has salicylic acid been shown to be just as effective as benzoyl peroxide in treating acne (if not more effective), but it also is a renowned keratolytic ingredient that breaks apart intercellular bonds. Glycolic acid is also a renowned keratolytic (exfoliating) agent that can help to reverse signs of aging and promote cellular turnover. While there are a number of cleansing and exfoliating ingredients on the market, make sure to avoid exfoliating scrubs that contain pore-tearing fragments (like nutshells or grains of salt) or high concentrations of potentially-irritating ingredients, like some alcohols and plant extracts (such as peppermint and lavender). If you’re in a pickle over whether an ingredient is good for cleansing and exfoliating the face, feel free to shoot us an email – we love hearing from our readers!

Exfoliate in a circular motion, and hold the brush flush against your skin. We hate to admit it, but even we at Vanity Planet are guilty of making a skincare faux pas once in awhile, and we are ashamed to say that once upon a time we did not exfoliate our skin in a circulation motion. Why is this such a no-no, you may ask? Because while exfoliating in an up-down motion may loosen dirt and other debris, it won’t fully do away with those deep-seated and hard-to-remove dead skin cells. When you rub just up and down, or side to side, you aren’t fully weakening the anchor of the dead skin cell/debris from all directions, which will means you will spend much more time trying to eradicate dirt from the lower layers of skin. When you rub in a circulation motion, however, you are quickly weakening the dead skin cells’ anchoring by pulling it all directions. Think of it this way: a tree won’t become uprooted when the wind blows strongly in one direction, but when it encounters a particularly gusty storm or hurricane, where the wind blows in practically all directions,  the tree will be uprooted. The same concept applies to why you should exfoliate in a circulation motion. If nothing else, exfoliating in a circulation motion ensures that you won’t miss a spot while cleansing and exfoliating the face.

When exfoliating, it’s also important that you hold the brush flush against your skin – not pressing directly on it, not barely grazing the surface, but flush against your skin. Pressing too forcefully into the skin may cause irritation and over-exfoliate your face.

Bottom Line

We pride ourselves on having created no-frills, straightforward products that deliver gorgeous skin to every user, regardless of age or skin type. To get the most out of your Ultimate Skin Spa System, we recommend using this brush in the designated order (Daily Cleansing Brush, Exfoliating Brush, and Silicone Brush), so that you can maximize each brush head’s cleansing abilities. To ensure that you don’t miss a spot, make sure to hold the brush flush against your skin and move it in a circular motion. You should also pair the brush with a gentle yet potent cleansing and exfoliating serum that can work in tandem with your Ultimate Skin Spa System to deliver luminous, clear skin. Finally, make sure to send us an email whenever you have a question – we love hearing from readers!
