why get a body analyzer?

Your average run-of-the-mill scale is the best way to measure to weight loss and overall health. Right?

Not necessarily.

A common frustration with anyone who has experienced or is actively trying to loose weight is hitting the "wall" - better known as that period of time when, despite all your efforts, you can't seem to loose weight. That is why we developed the Body Analyzer1.

This is generally explained by experts as the time period when fat "weight" is being converted to muscle "weight". Because muscle is more dense than fat, a normal scale won't be able to discern the difference, and it is very easy to get disheartened. Another common roadblock on the road to weight loss is the frustration of water weight. At the beginning of any weight loss regimen- the initial drop is mostly contributed to the loss of water weight - which is why so many get excited after dropping the first 5 - 10 lbs so quickly. However, that rate quickly normalizes and slow down to a 1-2lb a week average.

When loosing weight it is best to monitor fat loss as a way to track progress as opposed to overall weight. It gives you a better understanding of your health status and allows you to plan accordingly.
